I paint from photographs and film and I draw from life.

I am repeatedly attracted to images of family life because of their inherently deep relationships and personal histories.

 

Although sometimes the best stories are in empty spaces...

I enjoy many media: pencil, indian ink, charcoal, textiles, and mixed media but principally oil paint.

Having attained BA Hons in Product Design at Central Saint Martins and worked for several years in the art world I finally came to my senses at the age of 32 and devoted myself to the practice of painting. There after I attained a MA in painting at the College of Fine Arts at UNSW in Sydney, Australia.
